Goals:
1. Sell your grain in the upper third of the
trading range;
2. Capture the "carry" in the market to get
the most out of your on-farm storage;
3. Take advantage of the best cash bid in
your area when we're ready to deliver the
grain.
This is the track record for grain sold at
harvest. On farm storage has paid off
greatly the last few years, but to keep a
track record on this would be confusing
since everyone has a different situation in
terms of basis, delivery time preference,
cash flow concerns, and storage
capabilities.
